2010 Freshmen Class –

Kennewick Football wants you!  Statistics show that kids who are involved in school activities have a more successful high school experience than those who don’t.  Our program pursues excellence and will help you do the same.  The student-athletes in your class have the potential to do great things here at KeHS.  To best fulfill this potential, there are things we must do. These include, but aren’t restricted to the following:

1) Achieve (At Least) a 2.0 GPA this spring and beyond.

2) Participate in Spring Football

3) Attend FB Camp - Fundraisers available

4) Attend Athletic Development Camp

5) Take “Cross-Training” or “Strength and Conditioning” next Fall

(Zero Hour (6:30 AM) is best for 9^th Grade Schedules)

Make requests to your KeHS Counselor when you register for classes

The Lions head up to Wenatchee this Friday to take on a Panther team that won their season opener against Eastmont.

The Lions hope to get back on track this week after losing to South Kitsap 35-14 in a game that was closer than the final score.

YAKIMA, Wash. — Recovering from a two-touchdown deficit to tie Kennewick at halftime, Davis’ often spectacular athleticism was finding a way to keep pace Friday night at Zaepfel Stadium.

But to have any chance in the second half against the physical Lions, who were commanding in the trenches, Davis needed to cut down or eliminate one specific misstep — turnover.

It was a hope that didn’t last long.

Kennewick erupted for 22 points in the first eight minutes of the third quarter — a sudden breakaway aided by consecutive short-field turnovers by the Pirates — and rolled to a 48-32 victory in CBBN Columbia play.

When the Big Nine football schedule came out, the Kennewick Lions saw that they'd have a brutal start to the year.

Kennewick played their first two games in Seattle and Wenatchee...and, unfortunately, the Lions went 0-2.
